StaBallizer Tech

Exercise can be hard and monotonous - but not with the StaBallizer Core Training and Gaming System. We’ve designed the StaBallizer to be used with your beloved smartphone and/or tablet to bring fun back to exercising. You'll forget you’re even exercising when you're engrossed in your favorite training or gaming app. This section will help guide you on how to use your StaBallizer with your favorite technologies.

How do I get started?

The StaBallizer comes with a “Tech Plate” that sits on the flat side of one-half of the StaBallizer ball and allows you to place your smartphone or tablet on the StaBallizer.

Now the StaBallizer performs as a training or gaming station for any app that is controlled by the tilting of your phone or tablet. You can train or game with those apps by viewing them directly on your phone or tablet, or stream the apps onto your television for your and everyone else to see by using a streaming media player such as Apple TV, Google Chromecast, or an Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Using the StaBallizer App

We’ve designed a custom StaBallizer App that can be downloaded at the iTunes App Store, or Google Play The StaBallizer App includes stability challenges, exercise ideas with links to video, and a randomized circuit trainer to keep your workouts fresh. You can also create your own profile, track your stability progress, and share achievements with friends and family on social media.

Downloading other Apps

Hundreds of apps are available for download onto your smartphone or tablet from numerous locations, usually coinciding with the type of product you own (i.e. Apple, Android, Amazon, etc.).

Apple users: Typically download apps from the “App Store” app pre-loaded on their device, or downloaded from

Android users: Typically download apps from Google Play pre-loaded on their device, or downloaded from

Amazon users: Typically download apps from  the Amazon Appstore pre-loaded on their device, or downloaded from

Which Apps work best? (Note: Not all gaming apps work with the StaBallizer)

Any app you wish to use with the StaBallizer must be able to be controlled ONLY by the “tilting” of your smartphone or tablet. You will not be able to touch the screen to control any aspect of the app once the game starts. To find games that are controlled by “tilting” only, we recommend using the term “tilt control” in the search menu of the app store you are using. Also, just because a game is tilt controlled does not mean it will work well with the StaBallizer as the sensitivity of the tilt control varies on each app. The StaBallizer is only able to tilt so far, so higher sensitivity apps work best. Some apps have tilt sensitivity adjustment settings, so check the “settings” menu before discarding any app that may appear, at first, to not work well with the StaBallizer. Here are some apps we recommend:

Fall Down
Hungry Shark
Doodle Jump

Labrynth 2

Connecting to a streaming media device

In order to view your app gaming experience on your television, you will first need to connect to a streaming media device such as Apple TV, Google Chromecast, or Amazon Fire TV Stick. These devices are not included with your StaBallizer and may be purchased at your local electronics store or online. Before purchasing any of these devices, make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection in your home and your smartphone or tablet is compatible with the streaming media device. We also recommend you purchase the streaming media device most compatible with your smartphone or tablet (i.e. Apple TV with Apple products, Google Chromecast with Android products, and Amazon Fire TV Stick with Amazon products).

Once you have installed your streaming media device and connected it to the same Wi-Fi network as your smartphone or tablet, you can stream whatever is on the screen of your smartphone or tablet directly onto your television. Here is how:

Apple TV: Swipe up on the bottom of the screen to access your “Control Center”. Press the “AirPlay” button and turn “mirroring” on. Your phone screen will appear on your television.

Google Chromecast: Download the Chromecast app from Open the navigation drawer in the upper left corner of your phone or tablet screen and select the “Cast Search” button. Select your Chromecast.

Amazon Fire TV Stick: Swipe down from the top of your phone or tablet screen and tap “settings”. Tap “Display and Sounds”, and then tap “Display Mirroring”. Tap the name of your TV or media streaming device. Connection may take up to 20 seconds.

Using Sphero

Another tech option available with the StaBallizer is the use of the Sphero ball made by Orbotix, Inc. The Sphero is a baseball-sized orb that rolls, jumps, hops, and dances on your floor and is able to be controlled by the tilting of your phone or tablet. The Sphero costs about $80 and requires an app download in order to control the ball with your smartphone or tablet. Because your Sphero is linked to only one device, racing or tag games can be played by multiple users at the same time.
